Tuesday’s Trivia:
Pepper Power – Bell peppers contain natural chemicals called capsinoids that can help you lose weight. So eat a pepper a day to help banish belly fat!
Chilly Cheers - Drink your water ice-cold. The low temperature prompts your body to burn more calories during digestion.
Memory Booster –“Minding your blood pressure helps both your heart and your brain. Recent research has revealed that maintaining healthy blood pressure can actually cut the risk of dementia in half.” David Katz, MD
Set an Alarm – have an alarm go off 10 minutes before you have to leave the house every day. It’s your official reminder to stop puttering and get going.
Drink Up - Dehydration makes you feel lethargic, and water restores energy. Two 8-ounce glasses of water are a good antidote for morning drag.
Take a Walk Before Lunch – “Around 1:00 PM there’s a natural lull in your circadian rhythm that signals the body to release melatonin, which makes you drowsy,” says sleep expert Michael Breus. “You can prevent that dip by exposing your body to 10 minutes of sunlight at noon.”
Who’s ready for a 10 minute walk on our beautiful Rocky Point beach? Give me a call, I’d love to meet you and take you for a walk on our incredible white sand beach. 602 334 4359
P.S. It’s a really nice thing to do with your family on Mother’s Day. Take a walk, build a sand castle, and watch for the dolphins at play all on our Rocky Point beach.
See you on the beach! I’ll have my RE/MAX t-shirt on and a white fedora AND a big friendly smileJJJJ

They Teach It at Stanford
In an evening class at Stanford the last lecture was on the mind-body connection - the relationship between stress and disease. The speaker (head of psychiatry at Stanford) said, among other things, that one of the best things that a man could do for his health is to be married to a woman whereas for a woman, one of the best things she could do for her health was to nurture her relationships with her girlfriends. At first everyone laughed, but he was serious.
Women connect with each other differently and provide support systems that help each other to deal with stress and difficult life experiences. Physically this quality “girlfriend time" helps us to create more serotonin - a neurotransmitter that helps combat depression and can create a general feeling of well being. Women share feelings whereas men often form relationships around activities. They rarely sit down with a buddy and talk about how they feel about certain things or how their personal lives are going. Jobs? Yes. Sports? Yes. Cars? Yes. Fishing, hunting, golf?
Yes. But their feelings? Rarely.
Women do it all of the time. We share from our souls with our sisters/mothers, and evidently that is very good for our health. He said that spending time with a friend is just as important to our general health as jogging or working out at a gym.
There's a tendency to think that when we are "exercising" we are doing something good for our bodies, but when we are hanging out with friends, we are wasting our time and should be more productively engaged—not true. In fact, he said that failure to create and maintain quality personal relationships with other humans is as dangerous to our physical health as smoking!
So every time you hang out to schmooze with a gal pal, just pat yourself on the back and congratulate yourself for doing something good for your health! We are indeed very, very lucky. Sooooo… let's toast to our friendship with our girlfriends. Evidently it’s very good for our health.
Forward this to all your girlfriends – and stay in touch!
Thanks to all the girls in my life who have helped me stay healthy, happy, and feeling very loved.
Life isn't about surviving the storm; but how you dance in the rain.

MOTIVATION , INSPIRATION AND TRIVIA FROM THE BEACH IN ROCKY POINT............
" We all have possibilities we don't know about,. We can do things we don't even dream we can do. " Dale Carnegie.
What possibility are you wanting to dream about. For anything to become a realty it needs to be a dream first.
-
Creativity isn't just making something from scratch, but seeing potential in what already exists. Take a look around, what potential is wating for you to seize today?
-
The secret to getting unstruck might be locked in a dream. LOOK FOR THE KEY (in Rocky Point)..... If not know then When?
TRIVIA:
Did you know , if you break the cork when opening a wine bottle
you can filter the wine through a coffefilter.
If you run out of paper towels, put a few coffe filters on a plate and put
your fried bacon, French fries, chicken fingers, etc on them. It soaks
out all the grease.
Until nexth month, life is what you make it......the choices are limitless, especially on the beach in Rocky Point.
