I grew up on a large farm in a VERY small town called Wenden, Arizona. My parents owned and managed the farm and they worked my siblings and me hard! But I am very grateful to them for instilling in me a strong work ethic and sense of integrity. Later I graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Business, specializing in Finance. I enjoyed some success in the banking industry and ended up supervising million dollar bank loans for commercial real estate and agricultural businesses.
I soon discovered however that working at a bank was too monotonous and confining for me. So, I switched to a career in sales where I spent 25 years as an outside rep for the flooring industry. My title may have said Sales, but Customer Service was always my passion and my focus. As Zig Ziglar said, “You will get all you want in life, if you help enough other people get what they want.” Words to live by!
As both a hobby and means of investment, my wife and I have always had a passion for buying, renting and flipping real estate. Once we started investing in Rocky Point, we were immediately and hopelessly hooked! In 2019, we moved here fulltime, got our real estate licenses and never looked back. Since then, we have completed hundreds of transactions by helping our clients to achieve their real estate goals.
My wife, Jenna and I have 3 kids and 2 grandkids up in the Phoenix area whom we get to visit every month or so. We love living fulltime in Puerto Penasco and have never regretted our leap of faith.
Okay this is different, but I spent my youngest years growing up in Hong Kong. No, I don’t speak Chinese. When I was 9, my family moved to San Jose, California where I enjoyed a typical and happy childhood. I was always into singing and dancing, and was fortunate enough to end up with a career in show business. I spent many years as a performer on cruise ships and at various international theme parks. The travel was great, and I will always be so thankful for this exciting phase of my life.
Once in my 30’s and settled down, I became a Registered Nurse. I worked in the E.R. and Behavioral Health specialties, but then found a brand new niche for nurses called Clinical Informatics. As an Informatics Coordinator for Banner Health, I was part of a large team supporting the very complex task of converting hospitals and clinics from paper medical records to electronic charting. It was extremely challenging and exciting and truly, a historic time. Once the facilities’ conversions were complete, I spent my days continuing to teach doctors, nurses and other clinicians how to use the charting system.
And then came … Rocky Point! My husband Chuck, and began visiting this beautiful little beach town and fell in love with it. It got to the point that at the end of every visit, we just didn’t want to leave. Like many others we scratched our heads and thought “How can we make a living in Rocky Point?” Well we had already bought and sold several condos here as investments so, becoming realtors really made sense. Now we get to do something we love, and live by the beach. Let me tell you my friend, this IS the good life!
Covid was hard on all of us, and buying a property is never a simple task, but buying a property during Covid, when that property is in a different country, well that, you need a special agent for. Chuck held our hand from start to finish. He made the process simple and transparent, brought in all the right people (at the right prices) to close on the property, and stayed in contact throughout the transaction.
As a reminder, In June 2020, Mexico was closed off, so we could not visit the property, or be there for the inspection. We could not review the handy man's fixes or look at the bank deeds, all had to be done and managed by Chuck. He went above and beyond, simply above and beyond!
My husband and I made the leap to buy property in Puerto Peñasco which we had wanted to for a while. Chuck and Jenna made the whole process easy and helped us find the perfect home based on our wants and budget. I would recommend them 100% and would certainly do business with them. Not only did we get great realtors, I feel like we also made a friend in them.
Working with Chuck and Jenna Urea on the sale of our Home in Puerto Peñasco, Central Park Villas, was a real pleasure. The sale was complex and included having the buyers purchase a 100% membership interest in the sellers LLC and the buyers executing a promissory note with the sellers for a partial loan on the property. Although complex, we received great communications during the process and were able to do everything remotely, including the closing of escrow. I highly recommend Chuck and Jenna for any real estate transactions you may have in the Puerto Peñasco area.
